Fiona McIlroy has written poetry and stories since she could hold a pencil, even though being a leftie she wrote mirror writing at first. She wrote about and drew horses of course, and the most memorable journey oi self-discovery was riding on a five day trip across the Monaro to the South coast. She now lives between Canberra, South coast and far East Gippsland, converting her love of life into reflections in verse. For Fiona, poetry is both message and massage.
